Noe Street Update

January 27, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Good news. Step one of the DTNA traffic calming package for Noe Street between Duboce and 14th Street will be implemented tomorrow.

Angled parking, which tends to reduce speeding on the street and creates more parking spaces, should be striped tomorrow during street
cleaning hours. Post your feedback here after it’s on the ground and we’ll relay it to the MTA.

Thanks MTA!

January 9, 2009 · Leave a Comment

From the Friends of Duboce Park e-mail newsletter (subscribe at dubocepark.com):

Our next
volunteer day is this Saturday, January 10, 10 a.m.-noon. We meet near
the bulletin
board by the playground and are supervised by a Rec & Park
gardener. All supplies, tools, and gloves are provided. 30 minutes or
an hour of your time
makes a big difference in the appearance of the park.

A special
thanks to the volunteers who installed new plants outside of and along
the
east wall of the Scott St. Labyrinth (picture at left) and other areas
around the Labyrinth. Basic weeding and raking were also done. Rec
& Park will
be meeting with representatives from the community and Friends of
Duboce Park to plan the next 3-6 volunteer days and will consider the
desires of the
community and scope of the work to be done. For more information,
please contact Rose at
rosegillen@sbcglobal.net or 255.-8370.
